Built by someone who’s been on your side of the table.
Thrive Collective Partners was founded by Ariel Chivalrous after more than fifteen years leading talent acquisition inside food and beverage — building and running recruitment functions at scale, placing commercial and operational leaders across the U.S. and Europe, and working across the full spectrum from large manufacturers to growth-stage CPG and food tech companies.

The gap Ariel kept seeing was consistent: the most important leadership hires at scaling food brands — operations, supply chain, commercial, R&D — were either handled by generalist firms who didn't understand the category, or by large retained search firms who didn't prioritize mid-market clients. Thrive exists because both of those options leave founders and CEOs underserved at exactly the moment it matters most.
What we believe
Recruitment in food and beverage doesn’t have to feel transactional. We think hiring is one of the most important things a company does — and we treat it that way.
People over placements
We’d rather take longer to find the right fit than move fast and get it wrong. Every candidate we represent is someone we’d stake our reputation on. Every client we take on is a relationship we intend to keep.
Honest, always
We tell you what we’re seeing in the market — even when it’s not what you want to hear. Whether it’s a compensation benchmark that needs revisiting or a job description that’s filtering out great candidates, we’ll say it.
Depth over volume
We don’t blast CVs and hope something sticks. Every search is thoughtfully designed. Every candidate has been properly vetted and genuinely engaged — not just pinged on LinkedIn.
Confidentiality, always
Candidate privacy is non-negotiable. We never share your details without your knowledge and consent. Full stop.

Sector fluency, not sector tourism
We don't consult on food and beverage from the outside. We're active members of the California League of Food Producers and the Northern California Institute of Food Technologists. We attend the conferences, know the companies, and understand the talent landscape from the inside.
About Ariel
Ariel Chivalrous
Founder, Search Partner & Talent Advisor
I've spent more than fifteen years inside food and beverage talent acquisition — leading recruitment at scale for large manufacturers, placing commercial and operational leaders across the U.S. and Europe, and working closely with growth-stage CPG brands and food tech innovators navigating their first senior leadership hires.

What I kept coming back to was the same pattern: the brands building something genuinely interesting — better-for-you products, functional ingredients, novel proteins — were getting either generalist recruiters who didn't speak their language, or large search firms that treated them as a small account. Neither outcome serves the company or the candidate well.

I founded Thrive to be the partner I didn't see enough of in this space — someone who knows the difference between a Director-level hire at a $30M brand and a $150M one, who understands what it takes to move from lab to commercial scale, and who treats every search as a relationship, not a transaction.
I'm based in the San Francisco Bay Area and work with clients across North America. I'm an active member of the California League of Food Producers and the Northern California Institute of Food Technologists — communities I genuinely value, not just list.
